Softball Life in Red - Tournaments

1.       Anyone with Cold or Flu like symptoms should stay home. Anyone showing such symptoms pose a risk to us all and should not enter the park, please err on the side of caution if you are feeling crook and stay away to avoid passing on any potential illness you may have.

2.       Everyone coming onto Colquhoun Park is to be vaccinated. This is not negotiable!!   ALL participants, players, officials, volunteers and spectators over 12 years and 3 months must be fully vaccinated to attend any tournaments on the Park.

3.       My Vaccine Passes are required at the Gate of Entry.

We will have several gates of entry monitored by Volunteers who will direct you to your parking destination depending on what diamond(venue) you are playing on.  All teams, officials and volunteers will need to provide their vaccine pass to participate at the tournament, they will be given a coloured band to identify they have been checked and confirmed.  Attendees to the Park will need to provide their vaccine passes at the entry gate and will be given a different coloured band and follow the entry guidelines.  Each day of the tournament is allocated a different coloured band for the attendees.  MSA Volunteers will monitor the venues to ensure attendees are staying in their defined spaces and they have the allocated coloured band for that day.  QR Codes for each of these areas will be available on the flags.

4.       Everyone is to scan into their venue. All attendees including spectators are to scan in using the QR codes that will be attached to the backstop at each venue/diamond or on stands/flags in the defined spaces.

5.       Each Diamond/Defined Space is considered a venue.

Each venue/defined space must only have a maximum of 100 people at it at any one time. Please note the defined space in pink in the outfield for each diamond is called the Spectator Zone and can accommodate 100 people in each area, we ask that all spectators sit here and not alongside the B1 and B3 side-lines of the diamond.  Depending on some of the defined spaces for example the grand stands behind the plate on D1, numbers will be reduced to 50 people to allow for spacing.  Masks are compulsory in these defined spaces and distances need to be adhered too.

6.       Absolutely no mingling between venues. That means no one is to move from one diamond to another, everyone is to attend their own game and then leave the venue. To aid in this there have been parking spaces allocated for each venue, these are shown on the venue map for Colquhoun Park, please ensure that all team members and spectators adhere to the entry points and parking area allocated to their teams playing diamond/venue.  We have also organised a toilet for each venue, please adhere to the MAP given to you to help identify where these facilities are for each diamond.

7.  Teams Set Up.  If Teams are having to stay on the Park we will allocate an area for you to set up camp.   Teams will finish their games and go straight to their camp.  Please note spectators are not able to mingle in this area.  Team players and management only.

8.       Maintain Social distancing rules. That is 1 metre spacing between people you know and 2 metre spacing from people that you do not know. We ask that spectators stay on the side of the diamond that their team dugout is on. As an example, if your team is in the 3rd base dugout all spectators remain on the third base fence line and do not cross over into 1st base side and vice versa.

9.       Face coverings are mandatory. Unless you are on the diamond playing, everyone over 12 years and 3 months is to wear a facemask, this includes players/personnel in the dugouts when not physically on a diamond.  Please note, you are not able to take your mask for photographs only while eating/drinking.

10.       Clean and disinfect all shared spaces and equipment. We ask that team management wipe down and clean their dugouts before departing the venue.

11.   Do not mingle in shared spaces. For example, if you use the public toilets inside the clubrooms do not stay and chat or mingle in or around them, do your business and return to your venue without delay please.

12.   The MSA Bar is a venue (Senior Tournaments ONLY). The bar will be open but anyone attending the bar will be required to enter through the bi-fold doors on the deck and exit via the sliding door onto the deck. Whilst in the clubrooms all patrons are to maintain social distancing when purchasing product from the bar and are to be seated while within the clubrooms. There is to be no mingling outside of your own group / team. Masks are compulsory when not consuming beverages. Bar staff will monitor and enforce this.

  1.    Volunteers in the Green Crew Tshirts We will have approximately 20x volunteers rostered over the three days to help two entrances on JFK and Fairs Road (vehicles entrance to D1-D5).  Our Tournament Organiser Cat will in a pink MSA Singlet.
